Prayers in the Bible

There are plenty of Prayers in the Bible and they can be found in both the old and the new testament. A large majority of these prayers of Jesus can be found in the Gospels. The Gospels are collectively the Bible books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the New Testament.

One of the most famous of Jesus’ prayers in the Bible is The Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. 
Thy will be done in earth, 
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us. 
And lead us not into temptation, 
But deliver us from evil. 
For thine is the kingdom,

The power, and the glory,

For ever and ever.

What Is Prayer?

Prayer is simply talking to God. The beginning of prayer is a right relationship with God because sins hinder our prayer. We must have a good communication with God. Healthy relationship is based on communications be sure to get connected with the source of power.  God talk to us in many ways.  Sometimes He talks to us through His word and we talk to God when we pray.

Hearing God’s voice is a must and is required to learn in reading His word. We listen and hear God’s voice when we read the Bible and when someone preaches the Gospel. After reading and listening to His word our part is to apply what we learned and pray to God to lead us in doing God’s will.
